About Us

Kyaminyawandi Action for Rural Community Development (KARCD) is a registered, not-for-profit, community-based organization located in Nyakiyumbu Sub-County, Bukonzo West County, Kasese District, Uganda—nestled on the lee side of the majestic Mount Rwenzori, approximately 450 kilometers from Kampala. Established to address the pressing needs of rural communities, KARCD is recognized by the Nyakiyumbu Sub-County and Kasese District Local Government for its commitment to sustainable development.
KARCD works with qualified and locally accredited personnel to deliver impactful services in water access, health care, education, agriculture, and environmental conservation. The organization’s mission is to improve the quality of life for rural populations by providing affordable and sustainable solutions tailored to local challenges.
Driven by a vision to become the leading provider of clean water and community development services in Western Uganda, KARCD undertakes projects that promote hygiene, reduce poverty, enhance agricultural productivity, and support educational and health infrastructure. Through initiatives such as tree planting, school construction, and health facility development, KARCD empowers communities to thrive while preserving their natural environment.
